About Us — Zoology Study Zone
Department of Zoology, Vinoba Bhave University, Hazaribag
The Zoology Study Zone is the dedicated wing of the Department of Zoology at Vinoba Bhave University (VBU), Hazaribag, Jharkhand. It serves as a vibrant academic and research hub for students and scholars passionate about animal science, biodiversity, ecology, molecular biology, and conservation.
Our Journey & Roots
The department started its journey around 1996, initially functioning in a rented building near DVC Chowk under the leadership of Late Dr. B. K. Prasad.
In 2002, it was relocated into the Science Faculty building on campus.
Plans are underway (or were underway) to expand into a dedicated Life Sciences Block to accommodate growing academic and research needs.
